To Do

I am totally a list person. I love making lists. I have lists for everything. Dinner ideas, things I want, things I want my kids to have, things I want to do with my kids. I'm even bad enough that I have a list of lists I want to make. One of my favorites is my To Do list. I get to write this one each day, and if I'm lucky, get to cross things off this one. I just found this hilarious to do list notepad that reads this on the top:

to do
and then to do again
and then to pick up off the floor and to do again
and then to scream at someone
for un-doing and then to do again

I laughed out loud when I saw this. Probably because it is so true! I don't just do the things on my list. I do them, then re-do them and so on. I usually end up doing much more than is on my list, what with trying to keep up with the kids, and put that on my list just so I can cross it off.

This is so that I can feel like I did do something during the day. Even if the original things on my list never get crossed off, at least there is something there that indicates that my day was not a complete waste. I am a mother. I work hard.

P.S. if you want the website for the notepad it is:

A Weekend Away

Our little family went camping this weekend. Nothing too dramatic or fancy (hello- I'm 8 mo. pregnant). Just a little over-nighter. The kids LOVED it. The boy just didn't want to come home. He was so disappointed that we weren't sleeping in the tent for a few more nights.

There was still quite a bit of snow up in Logan Canyon. This made the boy ecstatic. I couldn't keep him away. And as you know, whatever the boy does, the girl does too. The snow was crusty and dirty (I assume it was just the way a boy likes it).

As soon as the girl saw the snow, she loudly and excitedly proclaimed, "SNOWMAN!!" Every snow pile was a snowman to her. She was also very fond of all the pretty rocks. Thousands of them on the road, and she wanted to bend over to pick up every one.

We had a campfire and roasted marshmallow's and hot dogs. The boy kept saying how he loves to roast. He wanted to roast everything in sight, but he made it very clear he did not want to roast his feet. Here are a few photos.

DISNEYLAND

We went to DISNEYLAND a few weeks ago as a family and had a blast! The boy loved every part of the vacation and is still asking me when we can go ride on a plane next. He also tells me he wants to go back to the hotel. I think he means he wants to live there. The other day as we were all sitting down to dinner, the boy says,

"Dad,"

"Yea buddy?"

As he says this next part he gets pretty quiet and puts his head down so that he is looking at the floor.

"I think I kind of like Minnie Mouse"

Other than being ashamed of liking Minnie, he got to see his favorite character: Donald Duck. Unfortunately it was only on a float. We never did see him just hanging around.

The girl was head over heels for the disney princess'. I think she must group herself with them. She does seem to think that she can get whatever she wants. She is talking up a storm and just growing up so fast. I can't believe she'll be 2 next month.

Well it's been almost 6 weeks for the man's collar bone. I told him he better be praying the healing process is done, because I will not lighten the load any longer. That might be a bit dramatic, but try being in the middle of your third trimester! I'll show YOU tough.
