Mom

So I was looking for a nice quote to fit into this cute book I was making at snapfish, and found a bunch of quotes on mothers. It was actually quite nice to read them, because it made me feel a little bit better at what I am doing every day. Sometimes it seems like you'll never make a difference and all the hard work of motherhood is shoved under the rug and not recognized. Well some of these quotes just really struck me, and I hope they do you too. So I will post them here. I would love to post more, but the small boy is sick, and I really need to tend to his needs. Poor little boy.

Enjoy:

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont

Women's Liberation is just a lot of foolishness. It's the men who are discriminated against. They can't bear children. And no one's likely to do anything about that. ~Golda Meir

The real religion of the world comes from women much more than from men - from mothers most of all, who carry the key of our souls in their bosoms. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty

The formative period for building character for eternity is in the nursery. The mother is queen of that realm and sways a scepter more potent than that of kings or priests. ~Author Unknown

Grown don't mean nothing to a mother. A child is a child. They get bigger, older, but grown? What's that suppose to mean? In my heart it don't mean a thing. ~Toni Morrison, Beloved, 1987

Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children

It's not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it. ~From the television show The Golden Girls

Halloween

This halloween we got to learn a cute little poem that the boy learned at preschool. You know the one:

"Five little pumpkins sitting on a fence".

Well when the girl heard it she was all over that. Although she changed it a little. So we have heard a lot about "Five little Mumpkins."
It has been extremely cute. Unfortunatly I don't have any new pictures, because my camera broke, but no fears, it has been fixed and is on it's way back. So here are some randomly chosen from the last download.
