I have really been struggling lately. I miss my friends and my life. I think I do pretty well with big changes, but we had so many in such little time. I had the smallest boy, and then the man got a new job and me and the kids were by ourselves. Then we moved here to Utah. It is great. I love our home. And so excited to be closer to family.
But 4 kids are sooo hard.
95% of my day is spent in meeting the needs of my children.
I cook for them, clean for them, get them dressed,
tell them to go potty, tell them to change their pants when they don't go potty,
get shoes on, take to school, bring home, feed them,
feed the baby, hold the baby, let them have candy,
don't let them have candy, get them snacks, get them drinks,
let them play with friends... help their friends,
jackets on-jackets off, constantly answering questions
that have been repeated a million-trillion times-
(mom- can I play your ipod, mom can I play ratchet, mom, mom, MOM!!!!!!!).
They are just still at the age where they are so demanding- constantly needing me.
All of them.
At the same time.
All the time.
Everyday.
Where is the time I need for myself?
It is hidden back in the corner of the cupboard- in the fetal position waiting to come out for a few years. This is tuff stuff! And I don't have any friends to cry to anymore. To come over and save me when I am drowning. I love you friends and miss you!!!!
I am drowning.

I only have two and sometimes I feel the same way. Can't imagine four!
I feel the same way with the one.. Sheesh I have a big surprise coming my way!! Well girl hang in there and ask for help so you can have a break once in awhile!! We all need that!

They are such fun destruction! oops did i say that? no but really thoug hi told you before: Josan would be super happy if you brought the kids over. Yes, even the four of them...maybe not for 3 days at a time but still though! I live right down the road remember? Come on! you know you want to!
I hate to sound unsympathetic but I really mean it when I say enjoy them while they are young. Take it one day at a time. They grow up way too fast. I know---because mine did. How I wish for some of those HECTIC days again with 4 little children. I love you and will give you a break when I can.
Kara, you can do it!! You really can! I find so much comfort in Aprils conference addresses. There are SO many talks on parenting.(seems like this one had pletny also.. YAY!) I make sure I read one before the 5 rugrats wake up to give me some postive reminders on how amazing motherhood is. Cause by the end of the day... I feel like dying at times. Wish I could help you out. Even if it's just talking. Having friends is such an fantastic thing while raising kids. Get a blessing from your husband. God doesn't want you to feel too overwhelmed to enjoy tis time in your life. Well, I've said too much. Good Luck!
We miss you too! I often feel like that too, although it does get better! My question is what time do you put them all to bed? That is finally my quiet time and I count down almost everynight. I say to myself, "If I can just get by until 8:00 p.m. I get to read my book or something I want to do." I hope that helps. :)
